The Netlabel Coalition Compilation 1

With this, the debut compilation album from NLC member labels, we're looking to spread knowledge about the group and what it's doing, as well as getting good music out there and promoting the labels who release it and the artists who create it.

Keep an eye open for new releases and projects from the NLC and head overto the NLC site and forums to get involved. As with all open culture communities, the free music one only flourishes when you contribute.

What is the Netlabel Coalition? -
The NetLabel Coalition (NLC) is an organisation consisting of a group of netlabels who have a shared interest in promoting the free music ideal, as well as promoting their own catalogues and artists through collaborative efforts and projects. Using forums hosted by The Creative UnCommons as their base the various participants also discuss the free music movement as a whole, what can be done to spread awareness and how the scene itself can be improved. Whilst fundamentally created for labels to network the NLC also welcomes general sites who have an interest in the scene (distribution sites, blogs, magazines etc) although individuals can't directly join, they can support the idea by promoting it, spreading the word and contributing on the open forums.

We've got a new artist on the roster, Johnny_Ripper with his first release; Null/Void... after 2 years in the making, a mix of diverse electronic genres and elements, 10 tracks going from Jazz to Ambient music, to create a unique sound that cannot be categorized and takes the term experimental to a new level.

I know this is very different to the sounds your used to hearing from Audiocast Productions, but after listening to it, i couldn't pass up the chance to release it, it's definately something very special.

Busy, busy, busy!

It's been really busy over here for the past few weeks preparing the forthcoming releases!

We've got a new release coming from Apocalyptic Meltdown, which will be a 3 track EP of Ambient Electronica, big thanks go out to Matt Owen for his great work on the Artwork for this forthcoming EP, the release date is still to be confirmed, but we'll keep you posted!

Also, We've got 2 new EP's of Psychedelic Big Beat to lookforward to from Zanex Dissociation... the first called "Association" and the second called "Dissociation", once all the artwork is finalised we'll set a release date for you.

Then to follow we have a new releases from Adam C' and Shubtle, we'll keep you posted on release dates, but there is lots to look forward to, so keep checking back with us!
